In collaboration with KU Leuven and the WTCB, we conducted research on prevented shrinkage.
According to the current calculation model, the prevented shrinkage reinforcement should only be dimensioned at the level of the connection of the floor slab with the basement wall.
However, our investigation shows that this model is inadequate. Over the entire height/configuration of the basement wall, multiple foreclosures were identified. Based on these measurement results, the design and implementation process of our Uniwalls were further optimized.
